How training works
The first step is a provisional licence for the category you are applying for. If you do not have one yet, we will tell you exactly what is needed before anything else is arranged. The sequence from there runs through theory test, medical, practical training and your driving test — we coordinate all of it, including Driver CPC initial qualification for those who need it as part of their first full licence.
Timelines vary depending on the course you choose, your existing driving experience and test availability. We give you a clear and realistic picture from the outset, not an estimate that changes once you have committed.
Courses available
We offer Cat C, Cat C+E, Cat C1 and Cat C1+E. For drivers who want to broaden what they can offer an employer from the start, ADR covers the carriage of hazardous goods and HIAB covers loader crane operation — both are valued by operators in Coventry’s logistics and construction sectors. Pass Protection provides an additional test attempt and preparation time if it is needed.
After qualifying
We include CV support and job referral assistance as part of the package. If you want help identifying local and regional roles, or presenting your new licence to employers effectively, that support is available. Coventry’s operator base spans distribution, construction, manufacturing logistics and public sector haulage.
