The Category C1 licence qualifies you to drive rigid-body vehicles under 7.5 tonnes. Perfect for Paramedics, Horse-box drivers, and delivery drivers.

A C1 driving licence allows you to drive larger vehicles such as motorhomes, ambulances, and small lorries, opening up job opportunities in sectors such as emergency services, logistics, transportation, and removals. Employers are always on the lookout for candidates with the right qualifications and skills, and a C1 driving licence will give you the competitive edge.

To show our support for the emergency services, we are pleased to offer a £100 discount on our course package to blue light candidates. This special offer is our way of recognising the invaluable contributions made by emergency responders and helping to make their training more accessible and affordable.

One of the best things about a C1 driving licence is the sense of freedom and independence it offers. You’ll be able to transport yourself and your belongings wherever you need to go, without having to rely on other drivers, or expensive delivery services.

Driving a Category C1 vehicle is a lot like driving a car or a van, and anybody over 18 with a driving licence can qualify to drive one. If you passed your driving test before January 1997 and you hold a valid CPC, you can drive a C1 vehicle without further HGV training. If you are unsure about your licence rights,  please give our friendly team a call and we’d be happy to help.
