The Category C1 licence qualifies you to drive rigid-body vehicles under 7.5 tonnes.
Driving a Category C1 vehicle is a lot like driving a car or a van, and anybody over 18 with a driving licence can qualify to drive one. If you passed your driving test before January 1997 and you hold a valid CPC, you can drive a C1 vehicle without further training.
