Completing Category C1+E training means you can drive a total of 12 tonnes in a vehicle weighing between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes (although the weight of the trailer may not exceed the unladen weight of the vehicle). While we usually recommend the Category C or C+E course, which gives you broader job opportunities for the same time and cost to train, you may not wish to drive larger trucks. If that’s the case, the C1+E is for you.

A training advisor will contact you to schedule a convenient time to begin your training. Once training begins, an experienced instructor will spend your chosen number of days making sure you're prepared for your practical test.
After passing your practical test (congratulations!), take your Driver CPC Initial Qualification (if applicable) and attend your two-day Direct Access work skills course. We have a great job search team available when you are ready to apply for LGV jobs in your area!
