If you’re new to HGV driving, but looking to maximise your earning potential, then our C+E Fast Track course is for you.
Because of the HGV driver shortage, the DVLA have removed some barriers from obtaining the higher class of HGVs. Instead of taking two tests when training for your Cat C and Cat C+E; we now offer a beginner’s 7-day course, where you’ll obtain both your Class 1 and 2 licences with just one test at the end.
Drivers’ wages have gone up nearly 30% for Class 1 drivers- your earning potential in a Category C+E vehicle is up to 50k a year. And because of the shortage in Class 1 drivers, newly qualified drivers are needed now more than ever.
The course is like the Cat C & C+E back-to-back course – you will still train in the Class 2 (or Category C) rigid vehicle initially, then after a simple in-house trainer assessment you’ll progress to the Class 1 (or Category C+E) vehicle. When you’ve completed your training hours and you’re prepared, you’ll go on to have your single test and acquire both Cat C and C+E licence categories.
Completing the Fast Track course means you’ll find work that suits you, whether that be long or short haul, with jobs ranging from just a few hours to a few days. You’ll be able to take your pick.
