HGV Training for Drivers Based in Woking
Woking has grown into one of Surrey’s more commercially active towns, and the road network around it — the A3, the M25, the connections into London and across the Home Counties — puts qualified HGV drivers from this area within easy reach of a broad spread of employers. If you live here and you have been thinking about making the move into commercial driving, the geography is on your side.
HGV training is accessible to drivers based in Woking through our network. Get in touch and we will confirm what is available and walk you through what the process would look like from here.

The First Conversation
Everything starts with understanding your situation properly. Your current licence, the category you are aiming for, and what fits around your commitments — we take all of that in before we do anything else. From there, we select the right course and manage the rest: the administration, the medical, the theory and practical test bookings.
Your coordinator is the same person throughout the process. They know your case, they track progress, and they are in contact without you needing to prompt them. Once you qualify, they are still working on your behalf — into recruitment, with a CV rewrite included in the service. HGV drivers typically earn between £35,000 and £50,000 a year, depending on experience, licence category, and employer. Woking’s proximity to major employment corridors means that range is genuinely accessible once the licence is in hand.
Licence Categories We Coordinate
Cat C is where most new commercial drivers start — rigid vehicles, a broad range of roles, and the foundation for everything that follows. Cat C+E adds the articulated trailer entitlement — also known as Class 1 — and opens up considerably more work at higher earnings.
We also coordinate Cat C1 for medium vehicle requirements, including those needed for paramedic driving and certain specialist roles, along with Category C1+E, Horsebox Driver Training, HIAB, ADR, and Driver CPC for drivers maintaining or extending what they hold already.
Not clear on which category fits your goal? That is exactly what the first call helps you work out. You do not need to know the answer before you pick up the phone.
Pass Protection
Pass Protection gives you one additional attempt at the practical test — either the 3A reverse exercise or the 3B driving test — along with one to two hours of further preparation beforehand. It is there as a practical backstop for drivers who want security going into their first attempt. Terms and conditions apply. Speak to a member of the team for full details.
The Process Behind the Licence
We have been coordinating HGV training since 2012. The process we have built over that time is one where the driver is kept informed, supported, and never left to chase progress. From the first call through to the job, someone is actively managing your case.
Our 500+ verified Excellent reviews on Trustpilot are from drivers who experienced exactly that. Not just a successful outcome, but a journey that felt organised and properly backed throughout.
