HGV Training in Coventry
Coventry has reinvented itself more than once, and logistics is a big part of what the city does now. The automotive and aerospace industries that have long defined the area generate significant supply chain freight — components moving between plants, finished goods heading to distribution hubs, specialist haulage serving manufacturers across the wider Midlands. Add the retail and construction sectors, and there is no shortage of work for drivers who hold the right licence.
HGV training is accessible to drivers based in Coventry through our network.

The licence and what it means
Cat C covers rigid vehicles over 3.5 tonnes — the category used in construction delivery, retail logistics, waste management and public sector haulage. Cat C+E adds articulated combinations, which opens the door to trunk routes, third-party logistics contracts and the kind of national freight work that larger operators require. Both qualifications are recognised across the UK and held for life.
Coventry’s road connections work in a driver’s favour. The M6, M69 and A45 put Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton and the motorway network within straightforward reach. A licence earned here is not just useful locally — it positions you for roles across a wide stretch of the Midlands.
How the process works
Before practical training can begin, you need a provisional licence for the category you are applying for. If that is not yet in place, we will explain exactly what is needed before anything else moves forward. The sequence runs through theory test, medical, practical training and your driving test — we handle the coordination of all of it, including Driver CPC initial qualification for those taking their first full licence in that category.
Timelines depend on your chosen course, your existing driving experience and test availability in your area. We give you an accurate picture at the start of the conversation rather than an estimate that shifts as you progress.
What we offer
We offer Cat C, Cat C+E, Cat C1 and Cat C1+E. For drivers who want to extend what they can offer an employer, ADR covers hazardous goods carriage and HIAB covers loader crane operation — both are in demand from operators across Coventry’s manufacturing and construction sectors. Pass Protection gives you an additional test attempt and preparation time if it is needed.
Support after training
We include CV support and job referral assistance as part of the package. Coventry and the surrounding area have a range of operators across automotive logistics, construction, retail distribution and specialist haulage. If you want help positioning your new licence with employers, that support is there from the start.
