Wincanton has struck a deal with Paxo and Mr Kipling owner Premier Foods to provide warehousing and associated services at its Corby, Northamptonshire facility.
The five-year deal will see Wincanton process 80 million cases of goods through the warehouse annually.
On average 35,000 pallets will be stored at Wincanton’s 280,000ft² site, with the option to use additional storage space nearby if required during peak periods.
Chris Kingshott, MD for manufacturing at Wincanton, says: “We see the securing of the Premier Foods contract as another demonstration of our outstanding credentials in this sector, and it complements our long-standing relationships with companies including HJ Heniz and Britvic.”
