Bidvest Logistics takes delivery of 108 DAFs

Bidvest Logistics, parent company to foodservice firm 3663, has taken delivery of the first of a 108-strong order of DAF LF55 220s, with the rest of the trucks due to hit the road by January 2012.

The 26-tonne Euro-5 vehicles will also comply with London LEZ regulations, which see the introduction of a Euro-4 minimum limit for particulate matter emmissions on 3 January 2012.

Fitted with Frigoblock electric twin evaporator refrigeration systems, the trucks will also feature Microlise telematics to study driving style data and provide delivery tracking.

MD Andrew Selley says: “Bidvest Logistics has invested heavily in this brand-new state-of-the-art fleet to make sure we stay ahead of the game with our transport. We pride ourselves on our service delivery standards and these vehicles will transport our offerings in first-class condition.”
