Pall-Ex has started formallly marketing its European service, launching a dedicated page on its website.
In February it revealed it had begun the search for a network partner in Turkey, as part of plans to build a one-stop 15-strong European pallet network by 2015.
Although Pall-Ex Italia has been up and running since 2009, with the launch of ventures in Iberia and Romania last year, deliveries to Europe have been done on an informal, ad hoc, basis directly through members up until now.
Pall-Ex Europe includes 38 countries on the Continent and the signing of franchise partners to run networks in France and Poland is promised shortly.
Prices for the service are calculated on pallet size rather than dimension, which the pallet network claims will mean customers will benefit from a more predictable pricing structure.
The European service also fully integrates with Pall-Ex’s Twine IT system, which provides real-time track and trace and online proof of delivery.
MD Adrian Russell says: “Now more than ever, customers on both a national and international level are looking for the most cost effective and reliable way to transport goods to Europe. We’ve created a competitive service that is based on the core Pall-Ex principles of efficiency and unrivalled customer service.
“In addition, this new service allows our members to increase their own offering and strengthen their own customer-base in the process.
“As a company, we’re growing into one of Europe’s leading pallet networks, and the launch of Pall-Ex Europe further cements this position.”
