Hundreds of visitors from across the road transport industry descended on Millbrook Proving Ground for the first day of the inaugural Commercial Motor Live show.
“With a full line-up of exhibitors, Commercial Motor Live has exceeded ours, and the industry’s expectations for the first day,” said MD of Road Transport Media and show director, Andy Salter.
“The highlights today have been the unveiling of the new Volvo FH, marking its official UK debut; the ride and drive experience of all the latest Euro-6 trucks; the Quiet Delivery Depot where we’ve been showcasing the latest developments in quiet technology for trucks and operations; and the launch of the UK Commercial Vehicle Operator report, our annual indepth analysis of the CV sector.”
Day two is set to welcome even more visitors to the renowned test track at Millbrook, along with senior TC Beverley Bell taking to the stage in the conference theatre for a session on enforcement and compliance.
Plans are already under way for next year’s event. “The date has been set for Commercial Motor Live 2013,” revealed Salter, “and we plan to build on the achievements of this, our inaugural show, to make it even bigger and more spectacular.”
Full coverage from the show will appear in Commercial Motor magazine, out on 11 October.
