If you're new to trucking, but you're interested in the higher earning power of a position driving a C+E Vehicle, you can train back to back. This means that in one course, you can complete your Category C and C+E training. It'll take you eight days. Already got your Cat C licence? Just click here.

Your earning potential in a C+E Vehicle is up to 30k a year, and with the increase in online shopping and deliveries, there's no better time to become an HGV driver. C+E drivers often have the opportunity to drive abroad. Also, the working pattern can mean that you'll work a few days, followed by a few days off, meaning you can grab a few days quality time with your family. Completing the back to back course means you've got the best of both worlds - you can take your pick. Long haul or local drops? A few hours work or a few days work at a time? It's your decision.

If it is a Category C+E licence you're looking for then this is a very simple process. We will enrol you onto our Back to Back course. This means we will take you through the Category C and C+E HGV Training courses in a timescale that suits you. Got your C licence already? No problem. You can train over four days so go straight to Step 8.

The process to obtaining your LGV licence with The LGV Training Company is simple:

Step 1

Book Course

You can book online, or if you need to have a chat with one of our HGV Training Advisors, you can call us on 0800 0744 007.

Step 2

Training Pack

We'll send you out an HGV Training pack, which you'll get the very next day. This will contain your Hazard perception CD Rom etc.

Step 3

Medical Test

Once the HGV Training pack has arrived, the first step is to go for your HGV medical. Don't worry - it's just a 5 minute health check.

Step 4

Fill In Forms

After your HGV medical, send away the forms for your provisional licence with your current licence. If you need help just give us a call.

Step 5

Revision

Remember, keep revising for your HGV theory test at home throughout this process.

Step 6

Theory Test

Your HGV theory test consists of two parts but don't worry, every question is covered by your CD Rom and Theory book provided by us.

Step 7

Take LGV Test

Attend your LGV Training course which is arranged at a time to suit you.

Step 8

Take HGV Test

After passing your LGV Training course you then attend your HGV Training course which is also arranged at a time to suit you.

Step 9

New Career

That's it! You've passed, just call our friendly HGV Training job finder department for available jobs in your area.
